Raulushaitis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"C-fragment C-fragment-html C-fragment-html--paragraph\">\n<p>&#171;Personally, I still have that hope. But over time, this hope dwindles, and I am also a little disappointed with the sluggish start of the investigation, because much could have been done before the media blew it up. Raulushaitis also emphasized that Sharunas Stepukonis does not necessarily have to receive a real prison sentence, as this punishment is rarely applied to first-time offenders of such crimes.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"G-col G-col-article C-article__body-fs-1\">\n<div class=\"C-fragment C-fragment-html C-fragment-html--paragraph\">\n<p>&#171;To be honest, for economic, financial, and property crimes, according to the established practice of Lithuanian courts, real prison terms are rarely imposed on first-time offenders. And in this case, I wouldn&#8217;t be very surprised if the courts find other alternatives for punishing Stepukonis without imposing a real prison term,&#187; said the lawyer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"C-fragment C-fragment-html C-fragment-html--paragraph\">\n<p>&#171;On the other hand, I can&#8217;t recall a case of this scale in the history of criminal prosecution in Lithuania, so perhaps
