When addressing the participants of an event held at the Cathedral of Saint Louis of the Invalides, the head of state welcomed the fact that the agreement reached in 2021 with French President E. Macron has turned into the Lithuanian Season in France.
According to G. Nauseda, there are many signs of Lithuania, its history, and modern culture in Paris, as well as throughout France, which testify to the vibrant interaction between Lithuania and the country.
The head of state expressed confidence that the Lithuanian Season in France will showcase Lithuania in all its colors, presenting not only the cultural, but also the academic, intellectual, economic, and social achievements of Lithuania to the French public. The President emphasized that language of culture is the best way to demonstrate the commonality of the two countries.
«The Lithuanian Season will take place at the most appropriate time. Because the best time for friendship is today. Our ability to look in the same direction is more relevant than ever in the context of fundamental geopolitical shifts when we need to ensure the security of Europe and its future,» the President said.
