Похоронили погибшего в Украине солдата-добровольца Тадаса Тумаса

Погибшего в Украине литовского добровольца Тадаса Тумаса похоронили в субботу в Вильнюсе, на Антакальнисском кладбище.

On Friday, an urn containing the ashes of the deceased Tadas Tumas was put on display for farewell at the St. Ignatius church.

To bid farewell to the soldier, whose call sign was Milžinas («Giant»), who died in Ukraine at the end of February, the president, the minister of internal affairs, the minister of national defense, and the commander of the State Border Guard Service all came on Friday.

His death was confirmed by Sigitas Malyauskas, the head of the «Snake Island» instructor mission in Ukraine. According to him, the Lithuanian was transporting mines to the front line with a Ukrainian soldier. Their vehicle was hit by a Russian FPV drone.

The Lithuanian volunteer fought against Russian occupiers and served in the 92nd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
