According to the director of Ukrhydroenergo, Igor Syrota, in an interview with Ukrainian Radio Svoboda, there were two direct hits on the Dnipro Hydroelectric Power Station. The second power unit of the station, known as HPP-2, is in a critical condition and it is unknown whether it will be able to continue operating. «We are losing the station,» said Syrota.
He clarified that one rocket hit the support structure of HPP-2, causing damage to the crane beams. The machine room and equipment were also destroyed. HPP-1 also suffered damage.
A fire broke out at the station after the missile strikes. Rescue workers and power engineers are currently working at the site. Earlier, Ukrhydroenergo stated that there is no threat of dam failure.

In Zaporizhia, one person was killed and several others were injured as a result of the Russian strikes, according to the local administration. Two people are also missing. Mariupol city council advisor Petro Andryushchenko reported that a trolleybus carrying station workers was hit. Photos of a burning trolleybus are circulating on social media, but there is no information about casualties or injuries.
