В субботу в Литве произошло несколько ДТП с участием пешеходов

On February 10th around 6:30 in the morning in the Rokiškis district, in the village of Skuomantu, on the road Rokiškis-Juodupė-Onuškis-Ilzenbergas, a VW Sharan car hit and injured a man (born in 1972) who was squatting on the roadway. The driver (born in 1966) was sober.

On the same day in Švenčionys, a second pedestrian was injured. Around 11:25 PM on Adučiškės street, a Ford Galaxy car hit and injured a man (born in 1969) standing on the road in an unlit area. The man was hospitalized. The injured man was found to be in a state of alcohol intoxication (2.43 per mille). The driver (born in 1957) was also slightly intoxicated, with a blood alcohol content of 0.07 per mille.

Another pedestrian was fatally injured on Saturday evening.

Delfi has already reported that at the intersection of Š. Batoras and Puchkoryu streets at 7:04 PM, a Mitsubishi Colt car driven by a woman (born in 1957) hit a 60-year-old man who was crossing the street. Medics pronounced the man dead. The accident occurred near the public transport stop «Puchkoryai».

Due to the incident, traffic on Š.Batoro street towards the city center was closed for several hours. Cars had to turn around, return to Naujoji Vilnia, and go towards the center via Koyalavichyaus street.

Around 11:41 PM in Vilnius, at the intersection of Raso and Drujos streets, a Subaru Forester car, driven by an intoxicated man (0.44 per mille) born in 1965, failed to yield while making a left turn and hit a pedestrian (born in 1969) who was crossing the pedestrian crossing. The pedestrian was hospitalized.
