According to the lrt.lt portal, applications by Stumbras’ companies Energijos parkai and Energijos turto investicijos to join the company’s network were rejected last year due to connections that posed a threat to national security. The government office also confirmed this fact.
«We can confirm that the Commission for Coordinating the Protection of Objects Important for National Security discussed and on October 19, 2023, presented conclusions that the contracts that Litgrid planned to conclude with Energijos parkai and Energijos turto investicijos do not meet the interests of national security. These conclusions were sent to the government and confirmed by the relevant resolutions on November 19, 2023,» the government responded to LRT.
In turn, the DGB confirmed that it conducted assessments of the planned transactions by Litgrid.
