According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the second anniversary of Russia’s large-scale aggression against Ukraine approaches, ministers will continue to discuss the EU’s commitments to Ukraine in terms of security, including military support and further sanctions. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba will participate in the Foreign Affairs Council meeting remotely.
«The ministers will discuss the situation in the Middle East region with the aim of preventing the further spread of the conflict in the region, discuss cooperation in providing humanitarian assistance to Gaza, maritime security, and measures to combat terrorism. The meeting will also include an informal discussion with the Chief Coordinator for Humanitarian Aid and Reconstruction in Gaza, Sigrid Kaag,» the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ministers will also discuss the situation in the Sahel region and the EU’s involvement in the region.
Before the meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council, there will be a ministerial meeting with the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, and the Director-General of the European External Action Service, Rafael Grossi.
