According to the Seimas Public Relations Department, medals were awarded for charitable activities, particularly for supporting and encouraging youth self-expression, to Victoria Aleknavichene (fire and rescue specialist), Saulius Filipavicius (priest), Dajva Grikshene (head of an international company), and Victoria Yovarene (public activist).
Those awarded for preserving parliamentary traditions and promoting citizenship and democracy include the signatories of the Act of Independence of Lithuania, Algirdas Sinkjavicius (public activist), Gintaras Vaicunas (historian at the Center for the Study of Genocide and Resistance of the Inhabitants of Lithuania), and Grazhina Zukauskene (municipal administration employee).
G. Petkjavichajte-Bite’s commemorative medal will be awarded for popularizing volunteer culture in Lithuania, with recipients including Inga Maknavichene (concertmaster at the musical theater, music school teacher), Vitas Dekshnis (poet, translator), Remigijus Pozniakovas (physics and engineering teacher), and Irena Duhovska (chairperson of the Polish community division).
