According to LAE’s data, diesel fuel in Lithuania cost an average of 1.574 euros/liter on February 5th, while the average price of gasoline reached 1.451 euros/liter. The average price of gasoline increased by 1%, or 0.014 euros/liter, last week, while diesel fuel increased by 2.3%, or 0.035 euros/liter.
Gasoline prices have been rising for the third consecutive week, while the average price of diesel fuel has been rising for the fifth week.
Over the week, average gasoline prices increased by 0.8-2% in all comparable countries, except Estonia and Germany, where average prices decreased by 0.3% and 0.5% respectively. The average price of gasoline in Poland is 1.484 euros/liter, which is 0.033 euros/liter higher than in Lithuania. For comparison, the average prices of gasoline in Estonia and Latvia are 1.664 euros/liter and 1.638 euros/liter respectively.
The average prices of diesel fuel increased by 1.5-2.3% in all comparable countries, except Germany, where the average price decreased by 0.3%. The price of diesel fuel in Lithuania is 0.053 euros/liter higher than the average price of diesel fuel in Poland. In Estonia and Latvia, the average price of diesel fuel currently stands at 1.592 euros/liter and 1.649 euros/liter respectively.
