В описании — одно, а продают другой товар: курьезная ситуация, в которую попал покупатель

At the end of September, Martinas purchased an Ilfe robot vacuum cleaner through Pigu.lt. That’s how the product was described. It was sold to him by Buying Solutions for 300 euros. When he got home, the buyer realized that it was not a vacuum cleaner, but a robot for mopping floors.

Martinas called Pigu.lt and explained the situation. They told him he could return the item. So Martins filled out a form online, stating that the product description on the internet was incorrect.

After returning the item, Martinas deleted the photo of the device with the description from his phone, as he was confident that he had returned the item and would soon receive his money back.

However, in mid-October, he received a letter from Pigu.lt stating that the seller refused to take the item back, claiming that the description was correct, stating that it was a robot for mopping floors.

Martinas checked the description on Pigu.lt and saw that it had been changed. Martina was unable to get his money back.

«At first, I wasn’t worried, I asked Pigu.lt to review the history of changes to the product description,» Martina said.

He also contacted the State Service for Consumer Protection (SSCP). Its representative confirmed that such a complaint had been received, but it had not yet been reviewed.

Buying Solutions refused to comment on the situation, citing the fact that the SSCP had not yet reviewed the complaint. Its director, Vitas Arnašius, only stated that they did not change the product description.

Pigu.lt representative Medita Blozhene acknowledged that this was an atypical situation caused by misleading the client.

«We have reviewed this situation, which rarely occurs, and have decided to refund the customer’s money on behalf of Pigu.lt Marketplace. We are returning the money without waiting for the results of the SSCP investigation and the seller’s decision,» said Delfi Blozhene.

According to her, the customer has been informed of the refund.
